Following a settlement with Novo Nordisk, one of the largest telehealth platforms exits compounded semaglutide, leaving brand-only access.
Hims closed its compounded GLP-1 programme to new patients in March 2026 following a settlement with Novo Nordisk. The platform continues to offer brand-name products, billed separately from its membership.
It is part of a wider pattern. Ro and the WeightWatchers clinic now carry brand-name products only, with membership billed separately from medication, and Calibrate operates a brand-only membership model. The biggest consumer names have largely left the compounded market that made the category cheap.
The effect on price comparison is significant: several programmes that appear in older round-ups as cheap compounded options are no longer selling the product those round-ups priced. If you are reading a comparison written before spring 2026, check that each programme still offers what it is being compared on.
For patients, the practical consequence is that compounded access has consolidated into smaller, less-known operators — which raises the value of verifying the pharmacy behind a programme rather than relying on brand recognition.
